On the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day (April 26), B&A Intellectual Property Co., LTD, Weihai Administration for Industry and Commerce, and Weihai Customs jointly set up a training class for international registration of trademark and customs record protection on April 25. Over 160 key enterprises from the whole city including Rongcheng, Wendeng and Rushan attended the training.

One of the topics of this training relates to Madrid international registration of trademarks whose keynote speaker is Wang Xiaoqing, the general manager of Beijing Zhongtianyang Intellectual Property Co., LTD. He carefully and deeply explained the meaning and approaches of international registration of trademarks, and the knowledge of Madrid international registration of trademarks, which provided guidance to enterprises to register international trademarks and develop international self-owned brand

Xu Xiaomin, an officer from Weihai Customs talked about the knowledge related to Customs record protection of exclusive right to use trademark, and guided enterprises to conscientiously complete Customs filing, reinforce the protection of self-owned brand and propel enterprises to “going out”.

At last, Zou Pei, the COO of our company, made a brief introduction on the company’s main businesses, and shared with the participators the theme of this year’s World Intellectual Property Day and the direction and key points of the development of intellectual property industry in the next few years, and emphasized on the importance of innovation to development of the industry.

In recent years, the municipal government pays high attention on trademark branch building. In 2016, it issued Opinions on Enhancing Brand Building. In December of the same year, the Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce, Weihai Customs and Rongcheng Customs signed a cooperative agreement on protecting the exclusive right to use trademark which established five cooperative mechanisms: data sharing, case clue exchange, law enforcement mutual assistance, brand protection and joint publicity and training to jointly strengthen the protection of the exclusive right to use trademark, guide enterprises to carry out international registration of trademark, and improve their competitiveness in international market. Up to now, our city has have 68 Madrid international registered trademarks which rank 7 in the whole province.
